Isabel Toa consistently wrote digital and print news stories for Utah State University's campus newspaper, the Utah Statesman. Her beats included special events, clubs, and current news.

She reported weekly to her editor and contributed story ideas in weekly team meetings.

Toa also assisted in several creative, digital projects for the newspaper including creating GIF lists, holiday videos, and managing the Snapchat and Instagram accounts.
